We caught a Haggis

Updated: Feb 7, 2022

Thursday 27th saw the Mmmm Supper Club celebrate Burns Night. Twenty four members joined in to celebrate a truly Scottish themed evening. Starting the evening off with the Selkirk Grace, a delicious starter of Cullen Skink soup, the haggis was brought in by the bagpipes tune of ‘Brose & Butter’, followed by ‘Address to the Haggis’. Before delving into our Raspberry Cranachan, we listened to the sultry tones of Robert Burns’ poems, ‘A red red Rose’ and ‘To a Mouse’.

Kilts and other tartan attire was adorned, although not a single sporran in sight; there’s always next year! Then with the evening drawing to a close, we obviously tested our vocal chords, the flexibility of our arms crossed over in front of us for a splendid rendition of Auld Lang Syne.

An amazing time was had by all.
