Social

The club is a welcoming and friendly community with members from the local area and beyond. Social events are organised during the warmer months, including barbeques, picnics, talks, meals and concerts. The bar is open all year around.

Picnics and Barbeques

At weekends in the summer months, you will find many friendly faces having picnics at the club and enjoying the outdoors.

The club owns a four-burner gas barbeque and we often organise social events to enjoy the best of burgers, sausages and roasted veggies!

Special Social Events

Several times during the summer, we organise special events to bring as many members as possible together and have an outdoor party. These include hog roasts, Mexican evenings and band nights. This is the ideal time to meet and greet others and feel part of our big family.

Bar

The bar is open every Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon, and more often during the warmer months of the year if volunteers are available. The bar is for members, their guests, and one-day pass holders only. Drinks have a very reasonable members price.

Galley Food

Enjoy Fiona's galley food (pre-order here), as nothing is better than good comfort food after a race.

Quiz Night

The most fun night of the year is Quiz Night. Organised by our host Siobhan, it is always a challenge for even the smartest members. Keep your eyes peeled on the calendar for the next Quiz Night.

Sports Events

There is no better location to watch your favourite sport events, from Six Nations Rugby to the America's Cup. Grab a pint and relax in front of our 52" screen and refurbished bar.

Wildlife and Nature

People describe the club as a paradise on our doorstep, and one really feels like being out of town and far away from routine. If you enjoy nature as much as we do, embrace the outdoors at the lake.

Photography Heaven

Take your camera and try to get a prize winning shot! There is plenty of wildlife to capture, and sails reflecting on the water on a calm summer evening make a stunning image.
