
Paddlesports
With this wildlife paradise on our doorstep, you can enjoy nature and water at your own pace. Stand-up paddleboard (SUP), kayak or canoe, the lake is perfect to take it easy on a quiet day and enjoy a relaxing time, or challenge your fitness and sprint up and down if you prefer.
SUPs and Kayak/Canoes
We have a good number of boards, kayaks and canoes, for members to hire. You are also welcome to bring your own or even store them at the club.
SUP Hire
We have 10 Sandbank 10" SUPs with paddle and buoyancy aid included in the hire fee.
Kayak and Canoe Hire
We have the following boats with paddle and buoyancy aid included in the hire fee:

4 x individual kayaks (1 person)

2 x double kayaks (2 people + opt 1 child)
-
1 x canadian canoe (2-4 people)

If you bring your own SUP or Kayak/Canoe, Third Party Liability Insurance of £3m is required to use the lake

Summer Paddlesporty Sunday
June to October, from 18:00 to 20:00
Paddlesporty Sundays at Maidenhead Sailing Club are a casual session to socialise and enjoy the sunset at the lake. Non-members are welcome at a small fee for a taster.
Winter Social Paddle
November to March, Saturday or Sunday (weather permitting) from 13:00 to 15:00.
Paddling is a great way to stay fit and relax after a long week. Explore and enjoy the lake at your own pace. If there are other paddlers on the water, you will not be alone and can get help should you need it.


Free Roam
Anytime
Paddleboarders and kayakers are welcome to use the lake any day of the week, except during organised dinghy racing. From November to May there must be at least two boats/boards with adults on the water for safety reasons.
Special Events
We run special fun events across the year such as for Halloween or Christmas, with games and fun activities for families and children.
