Work Party - Save the Date - Saturday 8th October!

It's party time - Work Party time, and our club needs as many of its wonderful members to get involved with the party.

Saturday the 8th October is our Work Party - what that means is that as a member of Maidenhead Sailing Club, you get to come to the Club and show your love and support by getting involved in our 'Work Party Activities'. Given we didn't have a Work Party earlier in the year, this is the opportunity to give the club a total tidy up before the winter sets in.

There's plenty to do and a range of jobs for all ages and abilities - so it really is a case of as many hands on deck as possible.

To highlight some key jobs they include, lakeside vegetation and filling in the “undercroft” underneath the decking.

There are a range of different activities as you'll see in the below image and a full list with comprehensive details about what to bring, safety requirements etc in the spreadsheet link below.

Whether it's clearing cobwebs from windows, clearing out storage cupboards, pruning back trees, tidying up the planting, painting, cleaning, tidying, shifting - there's loads to to. As you'll see when you open the spreadsheet, we need people with Chain Saws complete with personal safety equipment etc. We also need 1-2 people who have angle grinders who would be prepared to cut items to fit into the skip.

Where possible please bring your own tools, gloves and boots etc. MSC will purchase a number of gloves and safety glasses.

Where we have suggested safety measures these are suggestions and YOU need to make your own decision about YOUR safety while performing the work.

If there are any specific jobs you would like to own either email jeffrey.maidment1@btinternet.com or catch him on Saturday morning.

A full summary of all the jobs required in more detail can be found in this Excel Spreadsheet - which you can review by simply downloading the file 👇
