On Sunday Maidenhead Sailing Club celebrated the good fortune of Jim Prior, a long time Solo dinghy racer, when he won a draw organised by the National Solo Association - the prize being a £6500, top of the range Solo dinghy! Jim is going to call his new boat "Lucky Jim" and hopes it will help him move nearer to top of club ratings. Fellow Solo sailor, Commodore Alan Dibble, says (through gritted teeth) that he is delighted to see a club stalwart like Jim being rewarded by the gods of chance!
