Y&J Fun on the Water

What a fantastic month we've had so far for youth and juniors!

Wednesday Discover Sailing

Our discover sailing group has had the best of the weather with a few gusts leading to some unplanned capsize drills. We'll done to Monty who achieved his Stage 1 this week! If you are interested in a Wednesday discover sailing session email junior.admin@maidenheadsc.org.uk.

Optimist Stage 3

MAN OVERBOARD! Plus coming alongside, going backwards, sailing without a mainsheet and trying out double-handers. Our Stage 3 Oppies have been mixing it up this month.

Kites Out for the AIs

Our Assistant Instructor track has been working on race tactics and reading the wind, but this week the conditions were just right to get the kites out.

Club Racing

A few of our Juniors kept racing over the winter whenever lockdown allowed. The slightly warmer weather and Twighlight Thursday races have tempted a few more out as helm or crew, including some of our Topper transition squad and our Stage 3 Oppies. We are hoping for a record turn out next week over half-term.

There are still some spaces left on our June training weekends (5-6th & 19-20th). Email training@maidenheadsc.org.uk for more details.
