Social Sailing tends to take place on an organised basis, on Saturdays, during the warmer months of the year.  Turn up at any time from 10:00am.  The organised element finishes at 4:00pm. This is aimed at those who just want to potter around, not interested in racing or want to master skills because  they have just been on a training course.  The galley is available and bring packed lunches or use the BBQ

Whats included?   Just turn up no need to have your own boat as the club has several boats available to hire from Optimists (For the youngsters), Lasers and toppers (Single handers) upto Wayfarers, Visions and an Albacore (Two or more crew).  These are available on a first come first served basis.  A certain amount of coaching is available, it maybe worthwhile in contacting one of the fleet captains to see if they can put you in touch with someone who can help.

Life jackets are available, but please bring clothes suitable for sailing in and don't forget soft shoes.  You may need a spare set just in case you get wet!

Please note there are member duties on Saturdays to help cover safety boats and organise the day.

Members are free to sail their own boats at anytime by themselves but for safety reasons there should be someone else available in case of an issue.  In winter this mandatory.
