Maidenhead Sailing Club has a strong sailing fleet and is the main stay of the club.  There is strong local competition at the club, but members have been found regularly on the Regional, National and World Circuits.  Club members have  represented the UK several times on the World stage and have come away with Championship winners.

In addition the club hosts Open Events for Albacore, British Moth, Laser and Solo classes where entries come from other clubs to compete

The Youth and Junior Section meets regularly over both the summer, and winter, with coaching from volunteers, instructors and our own RYA Race Coaches.

There is organised racing on every Sunday morning allowing for a mix of fleet and handicap and Pursuit racing.  The only thing that stops us is Frozen Water!

On Saturdays during the Summer there is regularly supervised “Social” sailing for those who either do not want to race, just potter around or feel they are not experienced enough to take part on Sundays.  Coaching is generally available on a Saturday from experienced members of the club.

Thursday Evenings during the summer hosts racing after 6:00pm.  This particularly welcomes the less experienced and those who are more nervous, as the racing tends to be less serious than on Sundays.  Thursday evening race duties tend to be carried out by volunteers.  After being on the water the bar is open and pre-ordered food is available while we watch the sun go down over the lake.

Members are allowed to sail their own boat on the water at any time when there is no supervision but we do ask that there are at least two parties there in case of a mishap.

Do not have to own your boat?  There are many Club boats available to hire from Single handers like The Topper and Laser to Visions, Wayfarers and an Albacore. (These can only be used on organised events). There is plenty of room to have your own boat on site.
