We're excited to be holding our 50th Anniversary Celebrations on Saturday 11th July.
The day will start at 10am with our regular SATURDAY SOCIAL SAILING for those who cannot wait to get on the water. We're excited to also announce that HYDE SAILS are lending us their new RS200 for members to take out and experience what sailing and RS with HYDE SAILS is all about.
We will also be holding a special club regatta will consist of 3 short handicap races (i.e. everybody starts at once) and is a lot of fun especially on the starting line! Whilst this is a proper race with trophies and prizes we really want to encourage new sailors to come and participate to experience what it's like sailing amongst a larger fleet, so please don't be put off by the sight of lots of Albacores being rigged in the boat park - we want to recreate the spectacle of Barts Bash last year when we had over 50 boats on the water.
The racing will commence at around 2pm (could be later depending on numbers) and will last around an hour and 20 mins for all racing to be completed.
There are still a handful of tickets available for the Pig Roast, check out the emails sent out via Sarah Mayhew and we've live music that will start from approximately 7.30pm.
We hope to see everybody there!

A big thank you from the GPC to Julie Maidment and her team for putting on a wonderful Open Day on the 4th May this year. We were blessed with great weather and it was clear that all who attended had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
Photos to follow once we've managed to narrow them down.
Ten brave junior sailors ventured out into the breezy and overcast conditions at Summerleaze Lake for Maidenhead Sailing Club's first Optimist Open since 2008. All ten, aged between eight and twelve (some experiencing their very first competitive Open) sailed admirably, showing skill and determination to get round the course in freshening south easterly winds.

Power boat training is important to the club and fellow members, this is why we take it seriously. If you have not been on a course you will find it very informative and useful. I know that the Club has a number of experienced helms, let us give you a PB2 certificate by direct assessment, which takes about 3hrs. We are in a great position to have increased our number of Power Boat Instructors to nine and our fourth boat has arrived, so we can now be more flexible.
