RYA Training CentreMaidenhead Sailing Club is a RYA approved training centre and can offer club members all of the RYA training programme in Sailing and Power Boating. The table below shows what is on offer in 2016.

Because of the way the club is constituted, we are unable to offer training to non members. However,  we always welcome new members and discounts are available if you take one of our sailing courses at the same time as joining the club.

RYA Sail Training

MSC is a perfect location for adults and juniors to learn or develop their sailing skills and gain internationally recognised qualifications.

Power Boat Training

RYA Level 1 and  2 power boat training is available four times a year. We offer RYA Safety Boat at a heavily subsidised rate to club members who help out with race duties.

Skills Development Sessions

We are introducing these sessions to allow members to develop their skills further. They will be held on the first saturday of each month and last for 2 hours. 30 minutes briefing and 90 minutes practice. the sessions will include - upwind/downwind sailing, mark rounding strategy, controlling boat speed, and advanced sailing techniques e.g. man overboard, sailing backwards and lee shore landings.
