First race was a pursuit race for 30 minutes with Sacha Mayhew holding the lead until Jordan Giless over took. Harris Maidment tried hard to overtake him and in doing so ran aground and was seen running alongside his boat on the island before he was able to hop back in and rejoin the race. Miles Weekes, who had capsized, was closing in but not quite enough to overtake. Chris Henderson and James Denman retired with a jammed centre board

Second race was another pursuit race for 20 minutes in much brisker winds. Again Sacha held the lead for a while but Jordan was able to catch up even though he capsized. Harris and Peter were in second place with Miles in 3rd. It was really close with one minute to go as Miles and Harris fought for the second place with Harris just making the final mark. Sarah Pierce and Ellie Gladwyn were doing well but capsized in very gusty winds and retired frozen and Chris and James had got stuck on a lee shore in the weed early on and so were late to the start.
