Tom Weekes has been campaigning his Topper at various open meetings culminating with the World Championships in Tralee Bay, Ireland where he was one of 176 Topper helms to race at the event.  Tom finsihed the week 1st in the Silver fleet.

Having posted a 7th place in the first race Tom's chances of qualifying for the Gold Fleet were subsequently dashed with gear failure in race 5 causing him to miss race 6 whilst making repairs.

From race 7, the fleet was split into Gold and Silver fleets, the gear failure costing Tom a place in the Gold Fleet. However, Tom stamped his authority on the Silver fleet with a consistent set of results including two wins and a second place, he finished the fleet winner with a massive margin of 60 points over the second place helm.
